In just three years, HOONINE, the artistic name of Carmen Alarcón, has gone from releasing her debut album “Roca Roja” to becoming an essential artist at major Spanish festivals like Warm Up, Sonorama, Fan Futura, Cooltural Fest, Phe Festival, and Benalfest, among others.
With her first album, “Roca Roja,” she captivated both critics and audiences, winning a Murcia Region Music Award and being selected as an “Artista en Ruta” within the GPS circuit. From there, concerts and new releases quickly followed, with HOONINE continuing her exploration of both emotional depth and new sounds.
Constant curiosity is what makes HOONINE the freshest and most authentic project in national alternative music. With a “do it yourself” attitude, she presents herself as a multifaceted artist: composer, lyricist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist DJ. This Murcia-born artist transforms her music into a total work of art. With the recent incorporation of Warner Music into the HOONINE team, 2025 will be the year of her definitive consecration. We’ll see a revamped artist who will set dance floors ablaze with a collection of songs influenced by dance, house, UK Garage, future garage, synth-pop, or nu-disco, featuring powerful lyrics and a distinctive voice rarely found in the national scene. In 2025, a new phase begins with the release of her EP “Una Foto Al Sol”, balancing her presentation tour with collaborations as part of the artistic crew for the band Viva Suecia.
